Addison Paige #38 Breaking Order

I love organization. I especially like seeing the organized rows of crops that have been grown near my house for almost 20 years. There is such peace and predictability in this order so I decided to try it out in one of my paintings. I think the organization I ended up with looks more man made than nature made, but I still enjoy the stability of the horizontal lines. And of course I have to break the rules by breaking the perfect straight edges of each color band.

I have continued the painting over the edge of the gallery wrapped canvas so that this painting does not require framing.
