Addison Paige #37 The Dramatic and the Dangerous

Some people who have seen this painting are uncomfortable with the way the
heavy red area in the upper right corner seems to loom over the rest of the
painting but I like the drama that this boiling red area provides, this is the way I feel about big dark heavy rain clouds. I have always lived in an area
of the country where tornadoes and hurricanes can be a threat. I think the drama and tension I feel about big storms is an important aspects in many of my paintings. These storms are when nature can really overpower mankind.
I have continued the painting over the edge of the gallery wrapped canvas so
that this painting does not require framing.
