Addison Paige #46 When The Wind Takes Things Away From Us
#46 36" x 72" x 1 7/8" Acrylic, ink and charcoal on canvas. 2014
I was thinking about the rolling tsunami of dust and wind that was depicted in photographs from the dust bowl era when I was working on this painting but my painting ended up having a more joyful take on a rolling wind coming to overtake a bright blue day.
I have continued the painting over the edge of the gallery wrapped canvas so that this painting does not require framing.

Addison Paige #45 Before Darkness Comes
#45
36" x 72" x 1 7/8" Acrylic, ink and charcoal on canvas. 2014
A playful chaotic swirl of lines and delicate wispy brush strokes are used to create the multiple layers in this painting that help to provide a hide and seek type of intrigue. I always like it when a viewer can come back to one of my paintings time and again and discover something new and special each time that they hadn't seen before.
I have continued the painting over the edge of the gallery wrapped canvas so
that this painting does not require framing.

Addison Paige #44 Hidden Behind, Speaking Loudly
#44
36" x 36" x 1 7/8" Acrylic and charcoal on canvas. 2014
This is one of the paintings that I just don't have words for, it seems too
complex in my eyes to be explained with just words. I look at this painting
frequently when I am working on my newer paintings, there is something about it
that draws me to it time and again.
I have continued the painting over the edge of the gallery wrapped canvas so that this painting does not require framing.
