Addison Paige #130 Gone Up In A Cloud of Colorful Noise
#130 36" x 36" x 1 7/8" Acrylic and Charcoal on Canvas 2015
One day recently I saw on the horizon large heavy rain clouds, contrasted by the fluffy white steam plum from the nearby nuclear reactor reaching high up into the dark clouds and billows of smoke from what must have been a large fire. I loved the contrast of all these different clouds and decided to paint what I felt about this contrasting scene using my own colors. I think I portrayed this level of excitement in my painting.

Addison Paige #131 A Bold Garden Faces the Wind
#131 36" x 48" 1 7/8" Acrylic and Charcoal on Canvas 2015
A common subject for me; plants being blown by the wind. I like how bold the plants are and how the wind is portrayed by the big brush strokes yet with soft lighter colors than some of my other paintings. This is a happy painting to have hanging in my house.

Addison Paige #134 A Crashing of Fronts
#134 30" x 48" x 1 1/2" Acrylic and Charcoal on Canvas 2015
This painting excites me in a way I can't put my finger on the way I can with other paintings and I keep going back to study it to figure it out. The energy it shows is so strong. It is the first time I have painted truly black clouds into a piece.
